Sandra Lauck
St. Paul’s Hospital
Sandra Lauck holds the St. Paul’s Hospital and Heart & Stroke Foundation Professorship at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver Canada. She is a nurse clinician scientist at the Centre for Heart Valve Innovation at St. Paul’s Hospital.
Sandra was a doctoral fellow of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and completed her PhD at the University of British Columbia in 2013. She is a recipient of the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia Award of Distinction. Her clinical program of research focuses on processes of care and the development of clinical pathways to support the implementation of transcatheter therapies, and the study of patient-reported outcomes.
Sandra served as the Clinical Nurse Specialist of the Vancouver transcatheter heart valve program, co-leading the multidisciplinary team and a regional system of care with Dr. John Webb. She co-developed a comprehensive program for transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) coordinators and other clinical stakeholders to support TAVI program development. Sandra has published extensively in the area of matching clinical processes to support innovations in cardiac care.
