The Prince Charles Hospital, Brisbane
The Prince Charles Hospital is the leading cardiothoracic hospital in Australia with a reputation for delivering excellence in healthcare.
The hospital is located 10 kilometres north of the city centre in the heart of the north Brisbane business and administrative hub at Chermside. It has a 687 bed capacity and local population drainage of around 1 million people.
As the premier cardiac hospital for Queensland and northern New South Wales, we are the hub for specialised state wide services including complex cardiac intervention, heart and lung transplants, adult cystic fibrosis, adult congenital heart disease and complex cardiac surgical care. The Queensland Indigenous Cardiac Outreach program is also based here.
The Prince Charles Hospital is involved in numerous national and international research trials and projects. It is the centre for leading clinical and translational research programs, particularly in the fields of cardiac, thoracic medicine and surgery, critical care and orthopaedics. The focus of the hospital is on education and innovation and it has strong partnerships with The University of Queensland, Queensland University of Technology and The Australian Catholic University.
The cardiology interventional program is involved in industry and investigator driven translational research with a particularly interest in first-in-man clinical trials. The program has been at the forefront globally of innovations in the trans-catheter treatment of coronary artery, aortic, mitral and tricuspid valve diseases.
Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast
Royal Victoria Hospital is one of four linked hospitals that makes up Northern Ireland's biggest and best known hospitals complex. Royal Victoria Hospital treats over 80,000 people as inpatients and 350,000 people as outpatients every year, providing local services to the people of Belfast and a large number of regional specialist services to people from across Northern Ireland. These specialist services include Cardiac Surgery, Critical Care and the Regional Trauma Centre.
Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney
​Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH), together with Ryde Hospital, form the North Shore Ryde Health Service.
Established in 1885, RNSH and its associated health services meet the health needs of four local government areas, Mosman, Willoughby, Lane Cove and North Sydney.
RNSH is a tertiary teaching hospital of the University of Sydney (medicine, allied health), University of Technology, Sydney (nursing), and Australian Catholic University (nursing and allied health).
RNSH is a principal tertiary referral centre as well as a NSW Trauma Centre. The state-wide services provided by RNSH are:

The Kolling Institute of Medical Research is located on the RNSH campus. Researchers and clinicians are involved in practical medical research, designed to bring breakthroughs in the laboratory to the patients' bedsides.
